Cerro Gordo Youth League “Un-Playday

The CGYL cancelled their season for the year due to Covid-19, but they are hosting an “Un-Playday” Fundraiser on Saturday, June 20.

Normally the Youth League hosts what is known as “Playday” in June where kids from t-ball to high school softball and baseball play. Volunteers generally serve up food in the pavilion during the all day event.

This year, there will be a Barbeque to go cookout. The menu includes: pulled pork, potato salad, green beans, and baked beans. A family meal with all four sides is $30. An individual meal is $8 with the choice of 2 sides. You may purchase a “bag o’meat” for $15. Raffle Tickets are also available for purchase at $5 a piece.

Pre-orders are preferred, but walk-ups are welcome. Pick up will be available at the Cerro Gordo Methodist Church on June 20 from 11am-1pm. You may call (217) 619-4412 for more information or to secure your meal(s).
