Arthur Prayer Walk Set for Thursday at 7:00 pm

All area citizens are invited to participate in a Community Prayer Walk in Arthur on Thursday, July 2 beginning at 7:00 pm. Participants will meet at the Arthur Grade School’s south parking lot.

All prayer participants will be given instructions and a map marking a specific area of Arthur to walk through and pray before heading out in small groups to pray from 7:00 pm until around 8:30 pm. At 8:30 pm, participants will return to the school parking lot for informal discussion on the evening’s events and fellowship.

You will have the opportunity to choose where you want to pray, whether in a specific neighborhood, at the Arthur Home / Eberhardt Village, the schools, our downtown businesses, east side businesses, the churches, or for the police staff, fire volunteers, EMT’s and local government officials. You may either walk or drive golf carts or cars if you prefer not to walk.

This quiet and discreet time of prayer is being set aside to pray specifically for individuals, families, businesses, schools, public servants, churches, nursing home and assisted living staff and residents, home-bound citizens, and all who make up our community. There are numerous needs among all our citizens who have been affected in various ways by the COVID situation and other issues facing our world.

To help us plan, pre-registration is encouraged but not required. If you know you know you will be attending, please call or text Loyd Gingerich – 217-273-0571, Jonathan Kaufman – 217-259-3956, Al Rennert – 217-791-3131, Larry Rocke – 217-273-8167 or Dave Allen – 217-766-0591

We need people of prayer to take action. Please share this information and invite friends and family members to join you. Then, prepare yourself with the full armor of God (see Ephesians 6) and plan to join us in lifting up the entire community of Arthur in prayer on Thursday evening, July 2!
