Atwood Ball Field Resurfacing Project. The Village of Atwood along with the Atwood-Hammond Youth League and the Atwood Economic Development Committee have combined resources to purchase materials needed to resurface and condition the T-ball, softball, and baseball infields. Kyle Gingerich of Okaw Prairie Landscaping is heading the Ball Field Resurfacing Project. Gingerich is donating his time to ensure that the kids in our community will return to an amazing set of ball fields. Volunteers started Friday evening and worked under the lights late and returned early Saturday morning with the hopes of completing the project by evening. Volunteers also working on the the fields were Sharlie Berry, Scot Berry, Phil Klay, Travis Brown, Dave Ard, and Daron Soard with ball players Adlee Berry, Brady Ellis, and Adlee Berry watching the progress being done. Anyone wishing to donate money or sponsor a specific project can do so at the First State Bank in Atwood into the Atwood Park account.
