Atwood businesses are getting a head start on the holiday season by holding Open Houses on Friday & Saturday, Nov. 20 & 21, a week ahead of Black Friday. Why shop somewhere else when you may find a hidden treasure right in your own town. If you are an out-of-towner, this will give you a great opportunity to visit one of the great shops in Atwood.
Local businesses have been working hard to offer their customers special prices, coupons and/or giveaways. Refreshments will be available at various stores or you can enjoy a special lunch at Michael’s Tavern, downtown Atwood. Take a look at the participating stores and their specials:
CYNDI LU’S UNIQUES: Owned by Cindy Cordts of Atwood, this shop greets you with nostalgia of things you might have used at your mom’s when you were young. Cindy specializes in antiques, vintage, retro, collectibles, home décor and more.
During the open house weekend Cindy will make sure that every visitor/customer will be a winner. There will be a variety of envelopes filled with giveaways or coupon specials for you to choose from. Cyndi Lu’s Uniques will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
FIRST STATE BANK OF ATWOOD: The First State Bank may not be a retail store, but they are an important part of the community. The employees at the bank want to wish you the happiest of holidays and invite you to stop in for a special giveaway.

The ATWOOD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is working in conjunction with the Atwood businesses to encourage residents and other customers to shop at home and support local small businesses. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a strain on businesses and they are working hard to keep afloat.
As customers, we can help our small businesses by putting them first when it comes to holiday shopping. Following CDC guidelines is encouraged.
In keeping with the local businesses, the Atwood Chamber is asking all customers to register at each store for a holiday drawing of three (3) $50.00 gift certificates. Certificates must be used at one of the participating local Atwood businesses.
This has been a trying year for everyone, the Atwood businesses and the chamber would like to brighten your world with holiday specials. Support your local shops and show them you are glad they are a part of the community.
