Even though your Christmas might look a little different this year with the COVID19 Pandemic, there are still a few services you can attend to celebrate the special holiday – although, most will be doing it with safety measures in place such as mask-wearing, social distancing and only sitting with your families… or watching safely from home.
The Vine Street Christian Church will be streaming a Facebook Live Christmas Eve service which will begin at 8:00 pm on their Facebook page. You can safely view the service from the comfort of your home. They also have been sharing daily audio Advent Devotions and Sunday Advent readings on their Facebook page. You may access the church’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/Vine-Street-Christian-Church-127114484030943.
Sunnyside Mennonite Church will not be having service on Christmas Eve but will be having their program on Sunday, December 20 at 6:30 pm with a skit and singing.
The Arthur United Methodist Church will be having a “Blue Christmas/Longest Night” service on Tuesday, December 22 at 7:00 pm. It will be outdoors in the back parking lot of the church. They welcome anyone to attend who wants to, but ask that you adhere to COVID19 safety measures: wear a mask, keep your distance and sit with your family only. On Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve services will be held at 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm outside in the back parking lot. They also ask that you adhere to all COVID19 safety measures.
Despite COVID19 and all of the hardships it has brought, we hope that you find a way to safely celebrate with your family this year and you are welcome at any of the listed events.
