“Kathy” Kathleen R. Kluesner

“Kathy” Kathleen R. Kluesner, 77, of Ridge Farm, formerly of Arcola and Arthur, passed from this world at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the home of her son near Arcola.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday March 2, 2021 at the Zion United Church of Christ, rural Arthur. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial at the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery. Shrader Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.

Kathy was born January 5, 1944 at Tuscola, the daughter of Ernest and Phyllis O’Loughlin Schultz. She was united in marriage to William “Frank” Kluesner at Zion United Church of Christ on September 21, 1996.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Frank of Ridge Farm; son, Troye Kauffman and wife Herlinda of Arcola; daughters, Darla Chouinard and husband Pierre of Charleston, Laura Henry and husband Daniel of Arcola, Trina Kauffman of Arcola; former husband, Willard Kauffman of Arcola; and sister, Patricia Kay Spangler of Mattoon; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Kathy graduated from Arthur High School class of 1962. She was a home maker for many years before becoming the owner and operator of a Custom Frame Shop in Chesterville. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ rural Arthur and a member of the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church where she enjoyed attending services and Bible Study. Kathy also was a member of a local Red Hats Club.

Kathy enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, sewing, needlework, flower arranging and painting. She also enjoyed taking care of others.
