Rodger England

Rodger England, 77, of Atwood, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Saturday August 28, 2021.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will not be any formal services at this time.

Rodger was born October 21, 1943 in Sullivan the son of Ed and Bereniece Daum England.  He had been a letter carrier for the Sullivan and Mattoon Post Offices.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.  Rodger was a member of the Sullivan American Legion and the Kaskaskia Country Club.  He had played fast pitch softball for the Sullivan Chiefs Softball team and was inducted into the Illinois Softball Hall of Fame. Rodger was an avid Cubs fan.  He married Connie M. England on June 3, 1967 in Sullivan and she preceded him in death on September 14, 2020.

Surviving are his son Chris (Dana) England of Philo; brothers Mike England of Iowa and Kim England of Indiana; sister Connie Titus of Mattoon and granddaughter Allyson England of Philo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother and a sister.
