KNIGHTS TAKE 2ND PLACE AT LPC TOURNAMENT. The Arthur Loving Atwood Hammond girls basketball team brought home the 2nd place trophy Saturday evening from the Lincoln Prairie Conference tournament held in Cerro Gordo. The Knights defeated Villa Grove on Monday night 56-16 and defeated Cerro Gordo-Bement on Thursday night 50-26 to advance to the championship game and were defeated by the Tri-County Titans 33-48 in a tough game. Their record moves to 20-2 on the season and are back in action with three games this week.
