Mt. Zion High School Hosts “Acapalooza 2022” on April 23
Mt. Zion High School has a rich history with music and the arts, and will be celebrating 25 years of a cappella harmony with a special evening of music on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the H.S. auditorium.
The student a cappella quartets and ensembles are directed by faculty member Mr. Rich Hansen and will be featured on the first half of the show.
Included are “Class Act” and “Order in the Chord” – the current Illinois District H.S. guys and mixed championship quartets, as well as the H.S. mixed ensemble and the all-boys a cappella ensemble, “Some Assembly Required”.
The show will also feature guests, “The Coles County Chorus” (from Mattoon, IL), “The Sound of Illinois” (from Bloomington, IL) and “Vocal Spectrum” (2006 International Barbershop Quartet Champions).
Tickets for this must-see event are available at the door for $15 general admission and alumni of the program are encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:00pm.
