The Mt. Zion girls track and field team compiled 22 top-five finishes at the Mt. Zion Outdoor Home Opener.
In the 100 meters, Braves teammates Madison Inman and Angelina Henderson finished in third and fifth place respectively. Inman finished in third place with a time of 14.37 seconds. Henderson finished in fifth place with a time of 14.64 seconds. In the 200 meters, Raleigh Allen finished in fifth place with a time of 30.48 seconds.
In the 400 meters, Ashleigh Anderson finished in first place crossing the line at one minute and six seconds. In the 800 meters, Anderson, Camille Mavis, Emma Crowley and Hannah Gebke finished in first through fourth place. Anderson finished in first place with a time of two minutes and 26 seconds. Mavis finished in second place with a time of two minutes and 32 seconds. Crowley finished with a personal record time of two minutes and 38 seconds. Gebke finished with a personal record time of two minutes and 42 seconds.
In the 1600 meters, Braves teammates Sofia Munoz, Renee Ballard, Emma Mallory, Hailey Betzer and Brooke Doyle finished first through fifth place. Munoz finished in first place with a time of five minutes and 19 seconds for a new personal record. Ballard finished in second place with a personal record time of five minutes and 27 seconds. Mallory finished in third place with a personal record time of five minutes and 36 seconds. Betzer finished in fourth place with a personal record time of five minutes and 54 seconds. Doyle finished in fifth place with a personal record time of six minutes and five seconds.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Braves teammates Lydia Trump, Alaina Barr and Jinna Hiser finished in first, second and fourth place respectively. Trump finished in first place with a time of 18.09 seconds. Barr finished in second place with a time of 19.44 seconds. Hiser finished in third place with a personal record time of 19.93 seconds.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Braves’ teammates Trump, Barr, Hiser and Madi Moore finished in first through fourth place. Trump finished in first place with a time of 52.01 seconds. Barr finished in second place with a time of 54.01 seconds. Hiser finished in third place with a personal record time of one minute. Moore finished in fourth place with a personal record time of one minute and three seconds.
In the 4×100 relay, two Braves’ teams finished in the top-five. The Braves’ team of Henderson, Tatetum Flanigan, Hillary Owens and Inman finished in second place with a time of 52.92 second. The Braves’ team of Olivia’s Kostenski, Kalliana Becker, Emma Cox and Allen finished in fourth place with a time of 55.62 seconds.
In the 4×200 relay, two Braves’ teams finished in the top-five. The Braves’ team of Inman, Brooklyn Kondritz, Flanigan and Henderson finished in first place with a time of one minute and 54 seconds. The Braves’ team of Naomi Schmahl, Kostenski, Cox and Mallory finished in fourth place with a time of two minutes and two seconds.
In the 4×400 relay, three Braves’ teams finished in the top-five. The Braves’ team of Anderson, Owens, Kondritz and Munoz finished in first place with a time of four minutes and 27 seconds. The Braves’ team of Schmahl, Ella Fritzsche, Crowley and Mavis finished in second place with a time of four minutes and 52 seconds. The Braves’ team of Ballard, Moore, Alexa Weter and Autumn Ray finished in fourth place with a time of five minutes and six seconds.
In the shot-put, Braves’ teammates Becker, Grace Sill and Chloe Karnes finished in third and fifth place respectively. Becker threw a personal record throw of 8.60 meters for third place. Sill and Karnes each threw a personal record throw of 8.20 meters to tie for fifth place.
In the discus, Braves’ teammates Becker, Bracie Barnes and Karnes finished in first through third place respectively. Becker threw a personal record throw of 24.90 meters for first place. Barnes threw a personal record throw of 23 meters for second place. Karnes threw a personal record throw of 22.60 meters for third place.
In the high jump, Braves’ teammates Hannah Sago, Rhiannon Marshall, Eva Griffith and Becker finished in first through fourth place respectively. Sago and Marshal jumped a jump of 1.47 meters to tie for first place. Griffith jumped a jump of 1.37 meters for third place. Becker jumped a personal record jump of 1.32 meters for fourth place.
In the pole vault, Braves’ teammates Weter, Kondritz, Allen and Halloe Traxler finished in first through fourth place. In the long jump, Braves’ teammates Cox and Flanigan finished in first and third place. In the triple jump, Trump, Sago and Kostenski finished in second, third and fifth place respectively.
