Warrensburg-Latham Quadrangular Results
The ALAH boys and girls thinclads traveled on Saturday April 16 to Warrensburg-Latham HS for makeup meet postponed previously by inclement weather. Though running a skeleton crew, the Knight’s field event staff provided excellent performances.
Alexa Miller continues her prominence in the Triple Jump while bounding to 1st place hitting the sand at 33’1.25”. On the boy’s side, Austin Abercrombie and Tanner Beckmier go 1st & 2nd in the Discus both throwing personal bests of 146’6” and 120’5” respectively. Abercrombie also wins the Shot Put pitching the 12# ball 41’ ½”. The men also got winning hurdle efforts from Landon Waldrop (110HH/17.28) and Keaton Korando (300H/50.58).
The Lady Knights had success in the rings also with Brooke Clark flinging the platter 103’ placing 2nd while Makayla Harsbarger finished 6th with a 73’ ¾” effort. Makayla also got the red ribbon in Shot Put going 28’7.5” with teammate Sarah Rogers in 7th at 25’ ½”. Other girl’s field event efforts included Lillian Edwards with efforts in the horizontal jumps of LJ/10’8.75”/3rd and TJ/23’3.5”/4th.
Lady Knight’s track efforts included maiden efforts in the 100 by Emma Edwards/14.69/4th, Jewlyanna Hutchcraft/14.93/5th, and Lucy Wilber/16.67/8th, while Gracie Arnett and Evanger Wiley provided 1 lap efforts of 1:22.14/3rd and 1:31.26/4th respectively. Kaitlyn Zander drops a 100H PR of 20 flat in a photo finish 2nd. Emma Jones and Lillian Edwards follow in 3rd and 4th. Emma Edwards runs to 2nd in the 300H in 56.96 with Jewlyanna Hutchcraft in 3rd in a PR of 59.26 despite falling over final barrier.
Boy’s results include: Keaton Korando/100/12.55/4th & 200/25.73/3rd; Austin Stutzman/100/13.8/8th; Jesus Corona/800/2:34.93/4th; Alex Rexroad /300H /57.77/2nd & LJ/14’7.25”/4th & TJ/29’4.75”/6th. Waldrop gets 2nd in the HJ with a PR effort of 5’9.75”.
Both squads go again in Sullivan at the Tri-County Invite on April 19 and the Tuscola Open on Friday April 22.
