Complimentary haircuts being offered to all Arthur School District students

It is true to say that all of us are paying more these days – whether it be at the gas pump, the grocery store or even on our heating and electric bills. While trying to pay just for the basic necessities of life, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for those little “extras” that we enjoy in life-especially if some of us are on a strict budget.

Mitch Wilson, P.E. and Driver’s Ed teacher for ALAH High School, decided to coordinate a new program, Haircuts for the Holidays. “I just saw a need in the community and wanted to set something up to offer kids a chance to get a nice haircut before the holidays,” he said.

ALAH High School and the National Honor Society will be hosting this year’s first annual event. Thanks to stylists and barbers from the area, they will be donating their time to offer complimentary haircuts to CUSD #305 students. The haircuts will be offered on a first come, first serve basis to both elementary and high school students. Elementary and middle school students will need to be accompanied by their parents or a guardian while high school students may come on their own.

Haircuts for the Holidays will take place on Monday, December 19 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at ALAH High School. If you have any questions, you may contact program coordinators Mitch Wilson at wilsonm@cusd305.org or Kendall Huffman at huffmank@cusd305.org.
