ALAH senior Alisha Frederick signed her commitment to continue her softball career at Parkland College in Champaign. Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School hosted her signing ceremony on Friday, February 10 in front of coaches, friends, teammates, and family.
Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School is proud to announce that senior softball student-athlete Alisha Frederick will be committing to continue her athletic participation on the intercollegiate level at Parkland College.
Located in Champaign, Illinois, Parkland is a member of the Mid-West Athletic Conference and competes at the NJCAA Division 2 level. The Cobras finished the 2022 season with a 39-21 record and were the Mid-West Athletic Conference Co-Champions under Co-Head Coaches Kristi and Dan Paulsen.
Heading into her senior season, Frederick has been a three-year varsity letter winner for the Knights playing infield. She was an instrumental part of the Knights 2021 and 2022 LPC Conference Championship Teams, the 2019 and 2021 IHSA Class A Regional Championship Teams, the 2021 IHSA Sectional Championship Team, the 2021 IHSA Super Sectional Championship Team, and the 2021 IHSA State Finals 4th place team.
Frederick’s personal softball accolades include: a two time LPC All-Conference First Team selection, News-Gazette Second Team All-Area Team as a sophomore, Third Team ISCA All-State Team as a sophomore, and Second Team ISCA All-State Team as a Junior. Alisha has been a multi-sport athlete throughout her high school career and has earned varsity letters in cross-country, volleyball, and basketball. She earned News-Gazette All-Area Honorable Mention recognition in volleyball in 2022 and News-Gazette First Team All-Area recognition in 2022. She also was named to the LPC All-Conference Volleyball First Team in 2022 and holds the school record for most assists in a season. Alisha also earned LPC All-Conference recognition in Cross-Country as a sophomore. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Alisha has been a high honor roll student each of her four years at ALAH, is a member of the National Honor Society, has served as a tutor in the Math and Writing Center, and is an Illinois State Scholar.
Alisha is the daughter of Wes and Christy Frederick of Arthur and has not declared a major.
