The Atwood-Hammond Public Library can take you wherever you want to go in reading books, internet, and so much more. From pre-school to seniors, there is something for everyone.

One of the activities available year-around is Pre-school Story Hour each Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Kathy Davis, known as Ms. Kathy, is coordinator of the special group for ages 3 to 5. Age 2 is allowed if accompanied by an adult.

This group of kids have a Show & Tell time using a chosen letter of the week. They sing songs, play games and dance. They have been enjoying guest readers who read in a chosen book. The month of March has been Dr. Seuss. Readers have been Lyndsey Herring, A-H School Librarian; Village President Bill Fleming, Village Trustee Scott Harris and Ms. Kathy. This shows residents that village officials have other community priorities, such as reading to the children of the community.

The month of April the preschoolers will learn about spring.

Sign-up for the Summer Reading Program will be held May 22-27. It will begin on Wednesday, June 7. Any child preschool through 5th grade is invited to participate in this program. Fun comes from books, games and Ms. Kathy. Plan to attend.
