Knights Softball Three-Peat LPC Conference Champions

Lincoln Prairie Conference Regular Season Champions!!  The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights softball team won the LPC regular season title with an 8-1 record. After non conference action this week, the Knights enter postseason play on Monday, May 15 with a home game against the Cerro Gordo Bement Lady Broncos. Game time is 4:30.

For the third consecutive year the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond girls’ softball team are the Lincoln Prairie Conference Champions. They went 8-1 this season in conference play with their only loss to Argenta-Oreana.

ALAH Softball Falls to Casey-Westfield in Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong in the circle on Friday, but Casey-Westfield was just a little bit stronger at the plate in the victory over ALAH 0-3 in a non-conference. Madison Schweighart started the game for ALAH and recorded 21 outs.

One bright spot for ALAH was a single by Charley Condill in the first inning.

Paige Cutright was the winning pitcher for the Warriors. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out 12.

Schweighart led things off in the pitcher’s circle for the Knights. The hurler allowed nine hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four.

Charley Condill led ALAH with two hits in three at bats. The Knights didn’t commit a single error in the field.
