Ribbon Cutting, Open House for New Atwood Village Offices June 12

The Atwood Village Office has been re-located to a new facility, at the corner of Main and Central Streets, downtown Atwood. While it has been located in Piatt County forever, it now has a new home in Douglas County. Prior to the regular meeting on Monday, June 12, a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house will begin at 5 p.m. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the new meeting room.

Steve Tenhouse, CEO of Kirby Medical Group, will be in attendance as well as local officials for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

This is the completion of the renovation project of the Kirby Medical Facility to new village offices.

Davis Construction has been busy changing walls and other relocating, while Harris Companies have added their expertise of re-wiring & adding new lighting.

Village employees, village president and trustees have been busy painting, moving furniture, re-furbishing furniture and adding personal local touches to the new office.

Work is now wrapping up on moving records and equipment and the unveiling will be held on June 12.

If you are interested in viewing the brand-new village offices, be sure and attend the ceremonies at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 12.
