Final board meeting for Superintendent Robinson

The Cerro Gordo School Board met Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the auditorium.

Returning from the executive session, the board approved the 4-year retirement plans of teachers Lisa Forbes and Frankie Martin.

The board also accepted the resignations of several extra-curricular positions: Brady Greenwood, asst. football coach; Cassie McCleery, asst. softball coach; Jarod Schonert, jr. high track coach.

Superintendent Robinson also announced the employment of Shannon Conley as a special education classroom aide and Heather Yowell as a classroom aide/substitute teacher.

Superintendent Robinson gave an update on the HVAC project underway. Window AC units will still be used at the beginning of the school year until the chiller comes in to be installed.

Elementary principal Jodi Neaveill announced the completion of a sensory path in the elementary school entrance foyer.

Since this was his last board meeting, Brett Robinson thanked the board, administration, staff, students, parents, and the community for the honor of serving the district.

Board president Karen Freese thanked Robinson for his leadership that transformed our facilities that other communities compliment and want to emulate. The meeting was then adjourned.
