The Tuscola School Board approved an addendum allowing Omni Energy Partners to fix Tuscola North Ward’s heating and cooling system for $79,264.
Last Summer, North Ward suffered from a lack of air conditioning in the front office, having to resort to fans to alleviate the heat.
Superintendent Gary Alexander said Omni would look at the mechanical systems of the school district buildings when they signed the contract for improvements at the schools.
Board Member Chris Rennels brainstormed with Omni on the specifics of the improvements. He said North Ward has two systems operating the building’s heating and cooling systems. He said one of the systems has been causing issues and has been the cause of several repair bills in the past.
