ALAH FFA Attends 98th National FFA Convention and Expo
ALAH ATTENDS NATIONAL FFA CONVENTION. The Arthur Loving Atwood Hammond FFA Chapter pictured attended the 98th National Convention in Indianapolis, IN at the end of October.
Fifty-four members of the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond FFA Chapter attended the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo held in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 29–31. The annual event brought together thousands of FFA members from across the country to celebrate agricultural education, leadership, and service.
On the first day, students explored the vast FFA Expo inside the Indiana Convention Center, where they connected with agricultural industry leaders, visited college and career booths, and networked with FFA members from across the nation. That evening, they attended the
Opening Session, which featured inspiring messages from National FFA Officers and keynote speakers. Following the session, day-trip members returned home, while the three-day attendees enjoyed supper at Texas Roadhouse, generously sponsored by the ALAH FFA Alumni.
The second day’s schedule was filled with more opportunities for growth and exploration. Members spent the day engaging with college recruiters and representatives from agricultural businesses and organizations, learning about future career paths and innovations in the ag industry. The group capped off the evening with a trip to the Indiana State Fairgrounds to enjoy a rodeo, which proved to be a memorable highlight of the trip.
On the final day, members wrapped up their time in Indianapolis, reflecting on all they had learned and experienced throughout the week. The trip offered countless moments of inspiration, leadership development, and camaraderie among ALAH FFA members.
Hannah Uphoff, ALAH Ag teacher stated, “The National FFA Convention is always one of the best experiences for an FFA member. To be able to see firsthand around 70,000 people come together with one thing in common is truly an amazing experience and I am so grateful our students are able to experience it. Witnessing the sea of blue jackets, meeting people from all over the country, and learning how to be a leader in agriculture, National Convention is an inspiring event for everyone who attends.”
