Kirby Medical Center proudly announces a leadership transition as Chief Executive Officer Steve Tenhouse retires after 25 years of dedicated service. Jennifer Moss has been appointed as the organization’s new CEO, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the independent, not-for-profit healthcare leader serving Piatt County and surrounding communities.
Steve Tenhouse’s tenure has been defined by visionary leadership, organizational growth, and an unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. Under his guidance, Kirby Medical Center has earned national recognition for quality, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement, while expanding services and strengthening its role as a trusted healthcare resource in the region.
“Steve’s leadership has left a lasting impact on Kirby Medical Center and the community we serve,” said Gary Huisinga, Chair of the Kirby Medical Center Board of Directors. “His dedication, integrity, and focus on excellence have positioned Kirby for long-term success. Jennifer Moss has 22 years of healthcare leadership at Kirby Medical Center while serving as the hospital’s Chief Clinical Officer. Known for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to innovation and patient care, Moss is well-positioned to build upon the strong foundation established during Tenhouse’s tenure.
