Ana Nadolny delivered a huge day at the plate driving in five runs to lead ACS to a dominant 15-0 victory over Okaw Valley Timberwolves last Thursday at home.
She did most of her damage during a massive first inning for the Conquering Riders as she ripped a bases-clearing triple and later added a two-run double as ACS erupted for 12 runs in the opening frame.
They took advantage of two Okaw Valley errors early before piling on offensively. Charlie Russell drew a bases-loaded walk to force home a run, Grace Culp added an RBI groundout, Elsie Beever delivered a two-run single, and Lilie Herschberger knocked in another run with a single during the explosive inning.
The Conquering Riders continued to add on in the second inning when Lilian Beever and Herschberger each drew RBI walks to extend the lead to 15-0.
Herschberger earned the win in the circle tossing four scoreless innings as she allowed six hits while striking out four and walking none.
Elsie Beever paced the offense with three hits in four at-bats and also showed patience at the plate with three walks. As a team, the Conquering Riders drew eight walks in the contest.
ACS hosted the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals on Monday and travel to Monticello this Friday.
