Fuson wins Bement Middle School cross country meet

Bement hosted a quad meet on September 16 with Cerro Gordo, Decatur Catholic and LSA schools participating.

Will Fuson of Bement won the boys meet with a time of 12:40 and Caleb Weaver of Cerro Gordo ran a 12:52 for 2nd place.

Bement’s John Paul Brewer, Brayden Strack, Brody Somers, Cliff Strack and Tyce Alumbaugh finished 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th respectively with times of 13:02, 13:03, 13:18, 13:24, and 13:43.

Cole Somers ran a 15:04 placing 12th and Joe Schum was 13th with a time of 15:05.

Collin Kendall ran a 18:19 placing 27th.

Bronco’s Mark Aubert placed 15th with a time of 15:36 and Coleton Barger ran a 17:01 for 17th place.

Michael Freese and Ian Hawk placed 19th and 20th respectively with times of 17:20 and 17:22. Brenden Puckett ran a 17:37 for 23rd place followed by Eli Corpus in 25th place at 17:58 and Jack Hentz in 26th place with a time of 18:02.

The Bement boys team won 1st place with a total time of 1:05:27 and Cerro Gordo came in 3rd with a total time of 1:20:11.

Girls results included Cerro Gordo’s Jillian Durbin placing 4th with a time of 15:33 and Jazlyn Howell and Mariah Corpus finished 7th and 8th respectively, with times of 16:17 and 16:18.

Mariss Gentry came in 10th with a time of 17:13.

Bement girls runner Gabby Block placed 6th with a time of 15:55 . Finishing 12th was Addie Roberts running a17:41 and Cassie Block ran a 18:59 for 14th place
