ALAH Jr. High Baseball finishes season in regional play

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights junior high baseball team finished their season this past week in the regional tournament.
They won their first round game versus LSA in Lovington with a score of 16-6.
Will Hilligoss was the winning pitcher going four and two-thirds innings with six strikeouts and only allowing two runs.
At the plate, the Knights racked up eleven hits with Hilligoss, Maddix Stirrett, Kendall Schrock, and Logan Schrock all having a two hit games.
The Knights season came to an end with a loss at Warrensburg-Latham in the second round of regionals with a score of 7-2.
Dalton Vanausdoll was the starting pitcher going three innings with eight strikeouts and allowing four hits.
The Knights were led offensively by Maddix Stirrett going two for four.
Lucas Butcher, Skylar Gingerich, and Easton Frederick all had a hit for the Knights.
The Knights completed their successful season with a record of 9-4. The eighth grade class of Ryan Appleby, Cal Binion, Skylar Gingerich, Alex Rexroad, Kendall Schrock, Colin Smith, Maddix Stirrett, and Dalton Vanausdoll started the program last year as seventh graders and were a major contributor to the successful second year of the baseball program. The Knights junior high baseball program wishes them luck in the future and looks forward to another successful season next year.
