ALAH High School Boys Track and Field Compete at Mt. Zion Indoor Invitational
On the left, Knights sophomore Payton Warrior and next to him, teammate Cruz Hale race in the 60 meter dash finals at the indoor meet at Mt. Zion last week. Both runners ran a 17.70 in the race. Payton and Cruz ran legs on the 4 X 200 meter relay. Payton also competed in the long jump where he took eighth place with a jump of 18’ 5”.

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond high school boys track and field team competed with sixteen other schools of all class sizes at the Mt. Zion Indoor Invitational on Wednesday, March 6 at the Braves’ fieldhouse.
Three Knights scored in the meet with junior weightman Jacob Tighe taking seventh in the shot put at 13.10m or 43’ and freshman Cooper Shoemaker and Payton Warrior scoring eighth place points in the high jump and long jump respectively. Cooper jumped 1.65m or 5’ 5” and Payton’s best long jump was 5.62 meters or 18’ 5”.

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights boys track and field team will next be in action at the Gene Armer Invitational held at the Armory on the University of Illinois campus.
