Nacke expresses opposition to Arcola’s plan to expand tax increment financing district

The Arcola City Council held a public hearing on Thursday, July 18, to discuss a proposed amendment to the tax increment financing (TIF) District #6; however, confusion among the Council, the taxing bodies, the public, and the third-party professionals, left more questions than answers.
