ALAH Jr. High baseball easily defeats Paris Mayo

Donnie Vanausdoll hit two home runs and drove in two as the Knights beat Mayo 11-2 on the road last Thursday. Vanausdoll homered in the first and third innings.

A solo home run to left field by Vanausdoll put the Knights on the board in the top of the first and he hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the third inning.

Paris tied the game at two all in the bottom of the third on a double scoring two runs.

Back came ALAH taking the lead 6-2, in the top of the fourth thanks to doubles by Bowyer McGrath, and Jacoby Burnett.

Jaleb Burnett led things off on the mound for ALAH as he gave up seven hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Griffin Hilton threw one inning of no-run ball in relief allowing zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

The Knights compiled 10 hits in the game as Burnett led the team with three runs batted in going 2-for-4 on the day. McGrath collected two hits in three at bats. Hilton and Jase Kingery each stole multiple bases as the team tallied a total of eight in the game.
