CGB Girls Track and Field Compete at IHSA Class 1A Sectional

The Cerro Gordo Bement track and field team competed at the Class 1A IHSA Sectional tack and field meet on Thursday, May 15.
Although they didn’t advance anyone to the IHSA State meet, they did have some girls place in events and recorded some PRs.
Senior Gabby Block in her final track and field meet, took fifth in the 100 meter hurdles in a PR of 18.32. The Lady Bronco’s 4 X 8 relay of Madisen Callaway, Ariel Ponce, Jillian Durbin, and Cassie Block also claimed a fifth place finish with their time of 11:53.83. Madisen placed sixth in the 400 meters with a PR time of 1:04.31. Addison Frantz finished the scoring for CGB with an eighth place in the 100 meter hurdles. Her time was 20.11.
