CGB volleyball has all three matches go three sets

CERRO GORDO – The Cerro Gordo/Bement volleyball team went three sets in all three matches last week, but went 1-2. The Broncos began the week with a non-conference 25-17, 20-25, 26-24 thrilling victory over Decatur St. Teresa on the road.

In the only Lincoln Prairie Conference match of the week CGB lost to Rantoul in another close match 21-25, 26-24, 28-26.

The Broncos fell to 8-12 overall and 2-2 in the LPC, good for fifth place. CGB traveled to Decatur to face Unity Christian Tuesday in a LPC contest before playing at Sullivan Thursday.
