BETHANY – The Lincoln Prairie Conference regular season began Monday for the Arcola girls’ basketball team. Briseida Condarco, a sophomore had a team-high 14 points, including four three-pointers against Okaw Valley, but it was not enough in a 52-27 loss.
Arcola played the Lady Timberwolves even in the second half, 16-16. Condarco, who came off the bench, scored all of her points in the final three quarters, including eight in the second.
The Lady Riders, 0-6, played WSS (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg) Tuesday and host Sullivan Thursday in a LPC game.
Ema Simpson scored a team-high eight points in a 73-21 non-conference loss to Monticello on Saturday.
Last Thursday Salt Fork held Arcola to just three points in the first half en route to a 65-17 Storm win. Megan Miller led the Lady Riders with seven points.
