Mt. Pulaski too tough for CGB girls in basketball

MT. PULASKI – The Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos could not stay close to Mt. Pulaski, a team that is 6-0, in a 67-21 loss last Tuesday.
Fisher won the Mike Walsh Memorial Tournament at Bement going 3-0 and beating Decatur Unity Christian, Cerro Gordo/Bement and Martinsville in the round robin. Fisher’s Vanessa Sides was the MVP of the tourney.
Further information was unavailable at press time on CGB, including games against Martinsville and Decatur Unity Christian. The Broncos did lose to Fisher, but the score was unavailable.
Last Friday CGB fell to Shelbyville in a non-conference game, 56-37.
The Broncos opened Lincoln Prairie Conference play Monday against Villa Grove and host Meridian Thursday in a non-conference game.
