The Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend needs the local community’s help. Local residents can get involved with race weekend and support this world-class event – no running required! Volunteers are needed, and positions range from working on the race course to assisting at the Health and Fitness Expo!
Sign-ups to volunteer are currently open (https://illinoismarathon.com/get-involved/volunteer/volunteer-sign-up/). Perks include:
• A Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend TEAM t-shirt
• A drawstring backpack, sponsored by Smith Burger Co.
Receive a 10% discount on your order every time you visit Smith Burger Co., from Race Weekend 2026 until April 2027, when you bring and show your volunteer drawstring backpack
Plus, for those who volunteer during Race Weekend and participate by running or walking in any of our events, you are a Culver’s Double Dipper and qualify to receive a free double dip of custard every month for a year from any of the three Culver’s located in Champaign-Urbana, or the new Culver’s in Mahomet. The Double Dipper program starts in May of 2026 and runs through the end of April of 2027.
