Mary Ellen Traxler
Mary Ellen Traxler, 73, of Arthur, died at 12:07 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Sullivan Healthcare and Senior Living in Sullivan.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Pastor John Maples officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held one prior to the funeral service.
Mary was born February 10, 1953 in Tuscola, the daughter of Darren “Deke” and Darlene June Agge Traxler.
Mary was a graduate of Arthur High School Class of 1971. She graduated from Mr. John’s Beauty School in Decatur and continued her career as a hairdresser in Arthur until retiring.
Survivors include her niece, Christine Yaken of Lexington, N. Carolina; and nephews, Andrew Traxler, Jason, Tyler, Nick, and James Traxler.
She was preceded in death by her parents;2 brothers, Allan and Terry Traxler; and a niece.
