CGB BULLDOG TRACK AND FIELD

Cerro Gordo Bement Bulldog seventh grader Korbyn Corum, shown here throwing at the IESA Class 2A Sectional at Central A & M last Saturday, will be going to the IESA State Track and Field Championship meet at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria to compete in both the shot put and discus. In the shot, he took second place with a toss of 36’ 4.5” and in the discus he was third with a throw of 110’ 3”. He advanced to state by surpassing the IESA qualifying standards in both events. He will compete in the discus on Friday, May 15 with the shot put competition being held on Saturday, May 16. Good Luck, Korbyn!
