The Arcola Township held a special meeting Monday evening to discuss and approve the sale of their property at 108 E. Main St.
The trustees of Arcola Township unanimously approved the ordinance to sell the building as the office is moving a block northwest. They did not discuss the sale and refused to answer questions about it. The ordinance allowing the sale was read and passed.
The property will be sold as-is by the township, and any prospective buyer must pay for and have their own inspections conducted. The township also will not sell the property to any buyer unless they bid at least 80 percent of the property’s assessed value.
The meeting lasted less than 10 minutes.
