Arcola E.I. league baseball splits with Paxton after being swept by Danville

ARCOLA – Sunday the Arcola Eastern Illinois League baseball team won its second game in the last six contests improving to 2-11 overall, which is tied for fourth with the new team in the league, the Danville Dirtbags. Arcola doubled the Paxton Swedes 8-4 on a day with the feels like temperature in the mid 90s, but lost the second game 13-3 in a game called after six innings due to the 10-run rule (second game is only scheduled for seven, while the first game is set for nine innings).
