The Arthur-Atwood Lions Club presents the 5th annual Tractor and “Bragging Rights” Truck pull set for Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m. during the Moultrie-Douglas County Fair in Arthur.
The event promises to be a night of smoke, speed, and fierce competition with some tractors exceeding 5,000 horses. Two new classes highlight this year’s pull, a 10,500 Open Pro Stock featuring local pullers Travis Kuhns and Lance Little and a 10,500 Farm Stock. You will see Fred Helmuth and Floyd Miller in the 6,850 Pro Farm, and the Casteel Family and Jerry Bolsen pulling the Classics. This is the only night where you will see your local pullers on the same night on their home track.
Returning this year will be two “Bragging Rights” truck classes. Local drivers will take the track with 4-wheel drive gas and 4-wheel drive diesel classes. To participate, drivers must be residents in either Coles, Douglas, Moultrie counties, or the CUSD #305 school district. The vehicles must be licensed and street legal.
The pull is a fundraiser for the Arthur-Atwood Lions Club. Funds raised from the pull remain in our local community and are used to help those with diabetes and vision issues, scholarships, and other local and humanitarian projects.
