Celebrate July 4 in Bement

The Bement Community Council invites you to come celebrate America’s birthday with them on Thursday, July 4. There will be a parade, food vendors, car show, games, and activities at Bement Park from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm and at the Forest Preserve Park after the parade capped off by the fireworks display at dusk.

The fun starts at 9:00 am at the Recreational Park (pool) area with lots of sports fun.

Things kick-off at 10:00 am at Veteran’s Park with food, music, vendors, a car show sponsored by M/T Wallets, a drag race event by the West End, golf cart races sponsored by Dobson’s Automotive, the Pizzazz Band, sponsored this year by Conxxus, from 10:30-1:30, & the Lion’s Club will have a kids’ game. Hodge Podge Grilled Cheese Food Truck, The Burrito King, and Moon Bean Coffee Truck will be there for all your munchie needs.

The parade kicks off at 2:00 pm with Martha Postlewait as the Grand Marshal. It will make its way to the Forest Preserve Park where the American Grill (frozen treats), D and D Concessions (fair foods), and their BBQ truck will be ready to serve you. Daro Coffee Company, and Kona Ice will also be at the park to quench your thirst.

We have two free inflatables for the kids from 3:00-6:00 pm, and Bingo also starts at 3:00 pm. There will be vendors, a dunk tank, games, kettle corn, the annual cake walk, music, and more.

No July 4th Celebration would be complete without a fantastic fireworks show. This year will be the biggest display in Bement history! That’s right, Nostalgic Pyrotechnics will be on hand again to razzle and dazzle with our biggest show yet.

The goal of the council is to increase our holiday activities each year. This wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our businesses and community members

They are anticipating for their biggest crowd to date and want to show visitors why Bement is a great place to call home.
