Benefit for April Dick set for Saturday, July 20

April (McMillan) Dick of Atwood was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3 colon cancer. She will be making trips every other week to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for treatment, meaning she will be doing a lot of traveling and will be off work for an indefinite time. To help April out during this time, the First Baptist Church of Atwood, located at 231 N. Illinois St., Atwood, is sponsoring a benefit on Saturday, July 20, from 4-7 p.m. at the church. The church is inviting the Atwood community, and surrounding areas, to come together and make this a spectacular event to assist April.
