First Neighbor Bank announced its donation to The Embarras River Basin Agency (ERBA), a community-focused organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in East-Central Illinois. The donation was presented by Tom Webb, CEO/president, Scott Bland, chief operating officer and Scot McPeak, compliance manager of First Neighbor Bank, to Sandy Deters, housing counseling coordinator, and Cathy Feltner, executive director, both with ERBA, at a grant check presentation held at First Neighbor Bank’s Corporate Center in Toledo.
ERBA is a not-for-profit organization that has been serving area communities since 1965. ERBA is committed to supporting individuals and families by offering a range of services aimed at combating poverty and promoting self-sufficiency. The agency provides essential programs including housing assistance, energy assistance, weatherization, food pantries, emergency services, senior services, and job training, among others.
ERBA primarily serves the counties of Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Jasper, Lawrence, and Richland in Illinois. Their mission is to provide opportunities and resources for low-income individuals and families to improve their economic conditions, secure housing, and lead more independent and productive lives.
“We pride ourselves on being a true community bank and we are honored to support The Embarras River Basin Agency in their mission to uplift the communities they serve,” said Tom Webb. “Their work plays a crucial role in ensuring that those in need have access to the resources necessary to improve their living conditions and become more self-sufficient.”
The donation from First Neighbor Bank will go toward supporting the many programs ERBA offers, further empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.
