Micah Brown serves as PrinciPAL for the Day at Atwood-Hammond Grade School

A-H Grade School Principal Mr. Forman and PrinciPAL for the Day Mr. Brown.

Atwood-Hammond Grade School recently had an assistant “princiPAL” for the day.

Micah Brown, or as he was called Wednesday, November 13, Mr. Brown, earned enough Knight Bucks to purchase a new “prize” this year at AHGS, PrinciPAL for the Day.

Atwood-Hammond Grade School, like many other grade schools around the country uses a positive behavior program called PBIS. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.

Students receive Knight Bucks when they are making good choices, being responsible, respectful and ready to learn.

Students can save up these bucks and spend them at our Knight Buck store.

One of the top prizes is to be PrinciPAL for the day this year. Students who have saved up 150 Knight Bucks can cash them in to follow the Principal for the day and “assist” him in his duties. such as classroom walk throughs, recess and lunchroom duties, as well as running the bullhorn during dismissal at car-pick up. Micah did a great job as our first student this year to earn and purchase this prize and sure set the bar high.
