The Villa Grove Lady Blue Devils fell in both of their games this week against Westville, 51-28, and Chrisman, 39-17, after picking up their first win last week.
“We were down four at half versus Westville and playing pretty well,” said head coach Jeff Carleton. “Felt good about competing. We turned the ball over at a frantic pace in the second half. The same continued with Chrisman. We have been working hard to value the ball on each possession. We will get it corrected. JoBella Crafton has been a bright spot all season, however. She’s averaging 14.5 points and 13 rebounds on the season.”
Crafton registered a double-double against Westville with 12 points on 4-11 shooting to go along with 20 rebounds and three assists. Nadia Callison scored 10 on 4-7 shooting with three rebounds and a steal in the loss. Chevelle Grice, Lauren Carter, and Starlynn Grice all had two points to round out the Lady Blue Devil scoring.
Against Chrisman, Crafton again led Villa Grove with 14 points on 3-11 shooting with 15 rebounds, two steals, and a block. Callison and Maddie Wicklander tallied two and one point to round out the Lady Blue Devil scoring, respectively.
