The monthly meeting of the Arthur American Legion Auxiliary Unit #479 was held at the Arthur United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 17 at 6:00 p.m.
President Linda Perrine called the meeting to order.
Roll call of officers was given. There were 5 officers there and 4 members at large making a total of 9 present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer Billie Bernius handed out the sheet listing our expenditures and activity for the month.
Following a short business meeting we filled Christmas bags with various items for the Veterans at the Arthur Home and Eberhardt Village. Each member brought 3 different items so each bag ended up full with a nice variety of items.
The bags were delivered by 5 members at 9:30 Friday, December 20. The men all seemed to be very appreciated of the bags and most had their picture taken with an Auxiliary member.
Our next meeting will be February 18, 2025 as we do not meet in January.
Arlone led us in a prayer for peace and protection for our troops.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Diana Gay Davis
