Claire Meyer to compete at State Pageant at Crown Plaza in Springfield
The 65th annual Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant will be held Thursday, January 16 through Sunday, January 19, at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield.
The pageant will be held in conjunction with the 114th Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs annual convention.
Claire Meyer, 2024 Miss Moultrie-Douglas, will compete for the title of 2025 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen along with 74 other young ladies vying for the title this year. Her interview portion will be held on Friday, January 17. Meyer’s preliminary will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18. Preliminaries consist of speech, swimsuit, and evening gown.
The finals will take place on Sunday evening as the top 16 will be announced and the non-finalists will be recognized at that time. The top 16 finalists will start over with all four categories along with answering three pop questions on stage and a new queen crowned.
The reigning Miss Illinois County Fair Queen is Natalie Evans of Jacksonville. She represented Morgan County at the annual pageant held January 2024.
As the 64th Miss Illinois County Fair Queen, Miss Evans was the official hostess of the Illinois and DuQuoin State Fairs.
