Amber Gingerich and Isabella Spracklen were named Arcola Rotary Club’s February Seniors of the Month.
Amber is the daughter of Olivia and Jordan Gingerich. She has lived in Arcola for 17 years.
Gingerich is the Class of 2025 Valedictorian, an Illinois State Scholar, the class vice president, and the American Field Society (AFS) vice president of the registry. She was also in cheer for football season and won the SAR Good Citizen Award.
She is currently taking calculus, anatomy, physiology, English 101 at Parkland College, and health occupations at Sarah Bush.
She plans on attending Parkland College to study nursing.
Isabella is the daughter of Tabitha and Jacob Spracklen. She has lived in Arcola for nine years.
Spracklen is in color guard, Spanish Club, Stand for the Silent, drama club, cheer, National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, Scholastic Bowl, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America.
She is currently in the CEO program, English 101, English 102, physical education, cultural culinary, transitional math, and pastries and baking.
She plans on attending Eastern Illinois University to major in Biology to become a geneticist.
Jayden Henson-Stice and Hayden Gauna were named the March Rotary Seniors of the Month.
Jayden is the son of Christy Henson, Matthew Henson, and Jason Stice. He has lived in Arcola for “around 12 years.”
Henson-Stice participated in football, baseball, AFS, and basketball for one year.
He is currently taking English 101 and 102 at Parkland College, anatomy, calculus, and health occupations at Sarah Bush.
He plans to pursue a career in radiology and associate degree at Parkland College.
Hayden is the daughter of Heather and Harry Gauna. She has lived in Arcola for 17 years.
Gauna has been involved in volleyball, cheer, basketball, softball, track, FCCLA, AFS, class treasurer for three years, principal advisory committee for three years, and NHS for two years.
She is currently taking English, art, personal finance, culinary arts, and math IV.
Her plan is to attend a four-year university and major in early education.
