Lilian Beever leads ACS softball past Central A & M, defeated by Sullivan

Lilian Beever amassed three hits in four at bats, as ACS defeated Central A & M 9-6 last Thursday on the road. She singled in the first, second, and sixth innings.
A double by Elsie Beever on the sixth pitch put the Conquering Riders on the board in the top of the first and added to their lead in the top of the top of the second inning when Beever singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Lilie Herschberger singled, scoring two runs.
Lilian Beever was in the circle for ACS and surrendered five hits and three runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking one and Elsie Beever pitched in relief.
Lilie Herschberger led the team with three runs batted in and Avery Herschberger had two hits as the team collected 11 hits in the game.
ACS 6 Sullivan 13
The Conquering Riders struggled to keep pace with Sullivan in a 6-13 loss at home on March 25.
The Redskins got on the board first with an error, three singles and a double leading 5-2 at the end of the first inning. ACS then tied the game in the bottom of the fifth off a tripe by Lilian Beever, a triple by Elsie Beever, and a double by Brooke Herschberger.
Sullivan came back and scored six runs in seven hits to take back the lead 12-6 in the top of the sixth inning.
Elsie Beever pitched six innings in relief giving up 13 hits and eight runs while, striking out six and walking two. Lilian Beever started in the circle first for ACS and allowed five hits and five runs (one earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking none.
The Conquering Riders had 10 hits in the game with Avery Herschberger, Beever, and Beever each having two hits and Lilie Herschberger and Brooke Herschberger each drove in two runs in the game.
