Anne Schable, 2025 Grand Marshal of “Hometown Proud” Apple Dumpling Parade
By Doris Elmore
“I never think about age,” says our Grand Marshal Anne Schable, “I just do what I need to do.” Anne is one of the nicest ladies and is a prominent lady of the Atwood community. Anne’s full name is Annabel Marie. She was born November 11, 1924. That’s right, Anne is 100 years old and will turn 101 this November 11.
Anne will serve as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 “Hometown Pride” Apple Dumpling Parade. She is still very active, lives alone, drives and is a lovely lady. She is very interesting to visit with and can tell you many stories of her younger days.
As stated in the first paragraph, Anne says she just doesn’t think about her age. She just goes about her daily routine like she has all her life.
Anne is the mother of Janet & (John) Livengood, Lyle (Marsha) Eastin, Joy Eastin and Lavonne Long.
Anne is a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ since 1963, member of the Atwood American Legion Auxiliary and an antique buff.
Congratulations to Anne for being such an integral part of the Atwood community. We hope you enjoy being the 2025 Grand Marshal.
