On Saturday, Aug.9, three members from the Barnyard 4-H club in Tuscola brought their projects to be judged at the Illinois State Fair. It was a great experience for the 4-H’ers who learned tips from their judges and enjoyed their time there. We are thankful for our leaders, Stephanie Walker and Christina Ladage, who were inducted into the 4-H State Fair Hall of Fame this year. We thank them, the other Moultrie-Douglas Leaders, and Rachel Stenger from the 4-H Extension Office for their hard work on behalf of all the 4-H’ers. We congratulate all of the 4-H’ers on their State Fair accomplishments!
Tuscola’s Barnyard 4-H club joins together at the Douglas County Ag Center on the third Tuesday of every month for all who are interested. 4-H teaches young people how to use their head, hands, heart, and health to better serve their club, community, country, and world.
