ARTHUR – Both Tuscola and Paris proved to be too much for the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond boys’ basketball team. Tuscola downed ALAH 72-25 on December 9 and Paris throttled the Knights 66-36 last Friday.
ALAH has lost three straight games and traveled to Monticello Tuesday for another non-conference game with a 1-6 overall record.
Will Hilligoss led Arthur with 16 points (14 in the second half) against Paris, who improved to 4-3, while Hilligoss also led the way against Tuscola, with 10 points, including seven of the nine points in the third quarter. The Warriors are 7-0 and ranked No. 16 in the maxpreps rankings.
The Knights are participating in the Decatur St. Teresa Christmas Tournament which is Dec. 22, 23, 29, 30.
ALAH average 38.4 points per game and allow 59.6.
