LTC Charles Ellington – Guest Speaker at Atwood Memorial Day Services

LTC Charles Ellington, will be the guest speaker at the Atwood American Legion, Post #770 Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. in Mackville Cemetery. In case of rain, services will be held in the A-H Grade School gymnasium.

Dr. Ellington is a rural family physician practicing in Arthur as well as a licensed attorney with a background in health policy. He is also a flight surgeon with the U.S. Army Reserve and returned last year from a deployment to Jordan. He currently serves with the 244th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Knox, KY.

The Atwood American Legion will take part in the ceremonies along with Bill and Mitch Fleming and Joe Wolfe providing patriotic music. David Fleming will play taps.

Pastor Micheal Drake will give the opening and closing prayers.

Legion Commander Ken Caraway and Beth Jones, Honor Guard Members & American Legion Auxiliary will read the rosters of Lake Fork, Mackville & Zion Cemeteries.
