Carolyn F. Wolfe

Carolyn F. Wolfe, 82, of Lovington, passed away 1:45 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Celebration of Life services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Archie L. Sanders Chapel at Thomason Cemetery, Wayne City, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in the Thomason Cemetery, Wayne City.

Carolyn was born July 16, 1943 in Wayne City, Illinois, the daughter of Loren and Mildred Whitson Finley. She retired from the Illinois Secretary of State Vehicle Services Department. In her early years she had worked for Brown Shoe Company in Sullivan and Goldblatts. Carolyn was the former treasurer for the Lovington Ambulance Board, was a former member of the Moultrie County Republican Womens Club and was a member of the Arthur Southern Baptist Church. Carolyn married Gail E. Wolfe on May 27, 1961 in Wayne City, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2019.

Survivors include her children Teresa O’Kelley of Lovington, Robert (Lori) Wolfe of Chatham and Deborah Wolfe of Danville; granddaughter Sydney (Caleb) Striegel of Oxford, Mississippi; sisters Beverly (Vonal) Anderson of Keenes, Illinois and Peggy Carlisle of Joplin, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters Linda Weaver and Norma Bailey.
